If you intend to do a voluntary internship in the summer, you can also get SGK insurance.

• Please note that the voluntary internships are not mandatory and not asked by the department. Students may prefer to do secondary internships voluntarily to support their professional development in Industrial Engineering with the agreement with the companies. 
• We provide SGK insurance to support our students up to one month for one company if they want to have an internship related to Industrial Engineering applications.
• Normally you don’t need an application form from the committee for the voluntary internships as the entire process is between the student and the company. But you can find a letter (signed by committee, see “Documents/Forms” tab) informing the company for your voluntary internship request. This letter is NOT an application letter, it is only for providing an information about the voluntary internships.
• Please follow the same procedure to form a new SGK application using OCW. However, please make sure to send your second application once the SGK document of your first internship is already issued (so that your second application does not overwrite the first one). In order to avoid any trouble with the SGK insurance, Rektörlük recommends to leave at least one blank day between two SPs. 
• Foreign students are NOT allowed to do voluntary internships in Turkey. It is required to have a work permit to do a voluntary internships.
